Used Automotive Tire Recycling/Disposal Information
Tires have a bigger impact on the environment than you might think. By maintaining your vehicles' tires properly, you help the environment in FOUR major ways!
#1. You conserve the energy and resources that would go into making new tires. #2. You prevent the pollution generated by tire production. #3. You save gasoline, a non-renewable energy source. #4. You reduce the problems created when we throw tires away. (Not only are tires bulky, but also they do not decompose in landfills. When left in yards or on the side of roads, they provide places for mosquitoes to breed.) |
Another thing you can do to help, is to bring your used tires to a Used Automotive Tire Recycling/Disposal Center at participating local service stations and garages. Check with your local service stations and/or garages to see if they participate in this program.
Below you will find a list of local businesses that already participate. Support these businesses, and encourage other area businesses to find out how they too can get involved.
For charges and/or continued participation call the individual business most convenient to your location.
